The best New Jersey concerts for June 2017

The month of June is finally here, and the amount of trips to the glorious Jersey Shore will certainly increase. If you're not in the mood for getting a copious amount of sand in your shoes, there are plenty of shows in the Garden State that will still bring the heat. Two hip hop giants rock the house, a beloved hard rock band celebrates the release of their debut album, and a punk rock music festival makes its return to Asbury Park. While fans patiently wait for Lil Uzi Vert's upcoming mixtape Luv Is Rage 2, they can catch him rocking out on his Do What I Want headlining tour. His latest single "XO Tour Llif3" peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his highest charting single as a solo artist.

20 years ago, hard rock outfit Sevendust released their debut studio album, which included the fan favorites "Black" and "Too Close to Hate". The band will celebrate its anniversary by performing the release in its entirety. He Is Legend and Never Your Zero will also perform.

If you're in the mood for R&B hits, two of the biggest names in the genre will join forces for an incredible night. 10 time Grammy winner Chaka Khan became a dancefloor sensation with the singles "I Feel for You", "Love You All My Lifetime", and "Disrespectful". After his tenure with R&B group DeBarge, El DeBarge came out swinging with his 1986 debut solo single "Who's Johnny", which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2010, he released Second Chance, which was his first studio album in 16 years.
