There’s one particular word that’s going to be heard an awful lot in Arizona for the next couple of months. Super! The city of Glendale in metropolitan Phoenix will be hosting Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1 and indeed the list of Super Bowl-adjacent events coming to town is nothing short of spectacular. Here are the details on two of the most exciting.

Jan. 28-30 – Super Fan Festival at Pendergast Farm

How about warming up for the Super Bowl with none other than Snoop Dogg? Or maybe the Zac Brown Band is more to your liking, or indie rockers Imagine Dragons? Fans will have a chance to do that at three days of concerts leading up to the big game.

The Pendergast family farm is located right across the street from the University of Phoenix Stadium where the Super Bowl will take place, and the entertainment line-up looks like this:

Weds. Jan. 28 – The Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Nashville trio Cadillac Three.

Thurs. Jan. 29 – Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo.

Fri. Jan. 30 – Imagine Dragons, Snoop Dogg.

The festival will also feature carnival-style games, an appearance by NFL star Lynn Swann, food and a beer garden and lots more. Three day passes are available or tickets can be purchased by the day; info can be found here. Parking for the event will be free.

Feb. 8 – Dancing with the Stars: Live! at Comerica Theatre

This traveling edition of DWTS starts touring the country right after Christmas and makes it to Phoenix just a week before the tour wraps in Los Angeles. So the cast, set to include South African pro dancer Keo Motsepe, should be completely in the groove by the time they get here.

The all-new production, a 90-minute presentation of thrilling and sexy performances, will also feature favorites from the TV show including Alfonso Ribeiro, Kym Johnson, Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater and Mark Ballas.

While the show is all new, the dancers will also re-create some of the more memorable moments from the TV show. Motsepe, the first South African to feature on the show, made a statement through his publicist, saying, “It’s exciting to jump from behind the TV screen into a live audience of dedicated DWTS fans. I hope the magic of experiencing dance live with such a talented cast will match audience expectations.”

And for those “super” fans of DWTS, the Dancing with the Stars: Live! event is offering VIP packages that not only include premium seats and exclusive merchandise but a special meet-and-greet with the stars where there’ll be a photo opportunity. All ticketing options can be explored here.
