Milwaukee World Festivals announced the line-up of headliners for the Johnson Controls World Sound Stage with 88Nine Radio Milwaukee for Summerfest 50 in a release on April 20, 2017. Summerfest 50, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017, will take place on June 28-July 2 and July 4-9, 2017 (closed on July 3).
The Johnson Controls World Sound Stage is located on the north end of Henry Meier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisc. The festivals grounds are located on the lakefront of Lake Michigan. The Summerfest Skyrider stops near the venue, so you can ride through the air from the south to north end of the grounds. Patrons will find beer and other beverages, as well as a variety of foods nearby, so this will be a great area to sit and listen to music while eating, drinking and relaxing.
Summerfest 50 will feature 11 stages of entertainment over the 11-day period of the festival. The concerts at the Johnson Controls World Sound Stage will be free with general admission to Summerfest. General admission tickets will be $20 per day, or $13 on weekdays if you arrived by 4 p.m. Seniors (60+) and children (3-12 years old) will be admitted for $8. They are currently offering two multi-day ticket specials, available for a limited time. A special three-day pass is currently $45. The 11-day Super Fest Pass is currently $80.
