Stage AE to host Breaking Benjamin

Pittsburgh's Stage AE Outdoors will host multi-platinum rock radio act Breaking Benjamin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 with special guest Red.

Breaking Benjamin are on the road promoting their fifth studio long-player, Dark Before Dawn. The album, released through Hollywood Records in June 2015, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Breaking Benjamin’s first Billboard 200 chart-topping release. Five singles were released from the 12-track collection: “Failure,” “Angels Fall,” “Defeated,” “Ashes of Eden,” and “Never Again.”

The Pennsylvania-based band, best known for metal-tinged radio-friendly singles like “So Cold” “Sooner or Later,” “The Diary of Jane,” and “Breath,” previously released four albums: Dear Agony (2009), Phobia (2006), We Are Not Alone (2004), and Saturate (2002).

Supporting Breaking Benjamin will be Grammy nominated and six-time Dove award-winning Christian post-grunge outfit Red. The Tennessee-based trio released their fifth album, Of Beauty and Rage, in February 2015 through Essential Records. The album, funded by a PledgeMusic Campaign, includes the tracks “Darkest Part” and “Yours Again.” Of Beauty and Rage reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart and No. 14 on the Billboard 200.

End of Silence, Red’s debut LP, was released in June 2006. The album, later nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album, spawned six singles: “Breathe Into Me,” “Break Me Down,” “Let Go,” “Lost,” “Hide/Pieces,” and “Already Over.”
