Spotify’s playlists help music fans find new bands at Coachella

Although the first weekend of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2015 is just about in the history books, you can still keep the festival feeling alive. Whether you’re headed to the famed music festival or just wish you were, digital music service Spotify offers several options for music fans who want to discover performers taking the stage at Coachella's home base of Indio, Calif..

Through the microsite on, music fans can create a customized playlist with 30 of the approximately 150 artists scheduled to perform during Coachella. The personalized playlist is based on Spotify listening habits, and was announced via a press release and posted on Spotify’s official Facebook page on on April 6.

Spotify has also created a ginormous playlist featuring more than 160 songs. Sit back and unwind while listening to the likes of alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Chicano Batman, St. Vincent, Steely Dan, Run the Jewels and more, all in one lengthy playlist. The playlist clocks in at just under 13 hours, so you have plenty of tunes to listen to while at work. Spotify is a sponsor of Coachella 2015.

Coachella's first weekend performances of 2015 were April 10-12, and the festival will also take place on April 17-19. The multi-day festival in Indio, California, boasts a lineup that includes AC/DC, Jack White, Drake, Florence + the Machine, Kaskade, FKA twigs, Tame Impala, Steely Dan, Reverend Horton Heat and many other artists. In addition to music, festival-goers can go for a ride on the Ferris Wheel, play a number of games, participate in yoga or pilates or even indulge in a massage after a long day and night of dancing.
