On May 1, Los Angeles-based indie pop band Sir Sly announced that they would be coming to America for an expansive tour. After performing a co-headlining date with singer-songwriter K. Flay in mid-June, the group will kick off their proper tour on June 29 at Los Angeles’s iconic El Rey Theatre.
Following that show, the band will perform at venues in San Francisco, Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Milwaukee, Saint Louis, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Sacramento and Fresno. The band will close out their voyage across the United States with a performance in Aug. at Channel 93.3 Big Gig 2017, an event concert that will be headlined by Blink-182.
Although Sir Sly has not released a new album since 2014’s You Haunt Me, their recent moves have suggests that the announcement of a new record will be imminent. In addition to the US tour, the band released a new track called “High” earlier this year. Judging by the quality of “High,” a new Sir Sly release will likely end up on a lot of best of the year lists.
