Two Door Cinema Club announces Dallas concert for September

Two Door Cinema Club have announced brand new 2016 tour dates, something they promised to do after taking a couple of years off from recording and touring. Live Nation announced on Tuesday that Two Door Cinema Club will hit the DFW area for their North American tour in September, with the Two Door Cinema Club Dallas concert taking place on Sept. 30 at the South Side Ballroom. Tickets for the big concert go on sale on Friday, July 15, through Live Nation.

The Two Door Cinema Club 2016 tour is in support of their upcoming third album Gameshow, which won’t go on sale until Oct. 14, two weeks after their Dallas concert. Two Door Cinema Club is playing a number of festivals this summer, both in the United States and overseas. They will play at Lollapalooza this month in Chicago, before heading back overseas for a slew of big festivals. The Two Door Cinema Club Dallas concert is actually the first concert back after those shows overseas.

Two Door Cinema Club will actually play four Texas shows in a two week period. They will hit the South Side Ballroom in Dallas on Sept. 30, head to Austin for the Austin City Limits Music Festival on both weekends, and also play in Houston On Oct. 6. The only other shows outside of the Texas stops are concerts in Nashville and Atlanta.

Two Door Cinema Club formed back in 2007 in Ireland and they released their debut album, Tourist History, in 2010. The album was a hit in the U.K. and was certified platinum in Britain. They released their second album, Beacon¸ in 2012 and it was a number one album in Ireland, was certified gold in Britain, and reached 17th on the U.S. Billboard 200. However, Two Door Cinema Club disappeared in the middle of 2014 and didn’t resurface until late in 2015.

Tickets for the Two Door Cinema Club Dallas concert at the South Side Ballroom on Sept. 30 go on sale on July 15 through Live Nation. The tickets are all general admission seats and cost $32.50. The opening act is Jack Garratt and the show starts at 8 p.m. CST. There is also a presale going on right now for Spotify subscribers.
