Spoon to release anniversary edition of Gimme Fiction, stream 'Was It You?' demo

After the release of last year's They Want My Soul and its subsequent tour dates, it looked like things had quieted down for Spoon. That's all about to change in a few short weeks when the band release their version of The Cramps' TV Set exclusively for Record Store Day's Black Friday through Concord/Loma Vista. The Cramps' version originally made its premiere in the Poltergeist movie remake, and Spoon performed it for the first time on Conan recently as well. It features both "TV Set" and a spooky remake of Spoon's hit track "Let Me Be Mine," and will be printed on a deluxe colored 10" with a spot gloss jacket.

Shortly after that's released on December 11th, you'll be able to get your hands on a new 10th-anniversary edition of their 2005 album Gimme Fiction. Out through Merge (and Matador internationally), it's chock full of goodies - Gimme Fiction remastered, 12 unreleased demos, nine bonus songs, and a full-color booklet with exclusive photos and an oral history of how the album was crafted. It's available in a variety of different formats and merch bundles, all of which you can find over at their website. Above, you can take a listen to a new home demo of "Was It You?" and check out their pair of forthcoming tour dates below.

Tour Dates:

Nov. 20 - 23: Festival Corona Capital, Mexico City, Mexico
Nov. 25: Estadio el Campin, Bogota, Columbia
