Sam Smith announces early 2015 North American tour dates

On Oct. 16 English singer-songwriter Sam Smith announced in an issued press release, tour dates for the early months of 2015. The North American tour begins Jan. 9 in Atlanta, and ends Feb. 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia with his concert at Rogers Arena. You can view a complete list of Sam Smith's tour dates below.

During his U.S. and Canadian tour Smith will also perform in such major cities as Chicago, Boston, Nashville, Detroit, and New York City. This will be the singer's first arena headlining tour in North America. No opening acts have been announced yet for this tour.

Smith will be touring next year in support his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour. It was released in the U.S. earlier this year on June 17 via Capitol Records. The album went on to reach No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart, and No. 1 on the U.K. Albums chart.

Smith gained popularity in the U.S. with his single "Stay with Me". It was released this past May as the third single from In the Lonely Hour and it reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart. Other singles from his debut studio album include "Lay Me Down", "Money on My Mind", and "I'm Not the Only One".
