Replacing a lead singer is one of the toughest challenges a band can face, but if it works, it can lead to even more popularity and respect (just ask AC/DC or Van Halen). The British rock band Asking Alexandria found itself in this situation after vocalist Danny Worsnop left the group last year but based on the band’s performance with new singer Denis Stoff at Northern Invasion on May 14, the group is going to be just fine.

Touring behind their new release The Black -- their first with Stoff on vocals -- Asking Alexandria were intense and energetic during their Northern Invasion set. It didn’t hurt that the band has one of the most intensely loyal following in the genre, but even those unfamiliar with the band couldn't help but be swayed by their enthusiasm and attitude.
