Journey unveiled as featured performer at 2015 Hollywood Bowl season opener

Journey will perform with an orchestra for the first time ever to open the 2015 Hollywood Bowl season. The multi-platinum sellers will join the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by Principal Conductor Thomas Wilkins, at the prestigious venue for a full set on Sat., June 20 in Los Angeles.

According to a news release posted Feb. 26 at the official website of Journey, the "Don't Stop Believin'" hitmakers will also be joined on the bill by the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA). The concert will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show to finish the evening.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its various education and community programs, which reach more than 120,000 children, teachers and adults every year. For more information on the programs, click here.

Journey announced an extensive 16-city coast-to-coast tour of Canada earlier this month. The tour will included a number of first-ever stops, kicking off July 6 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at MTS Centre and wrapping up Aug. 2 in St. John's, Newfoundland, at Mile One Centre.

The veteran San Francisco prog-rockers are currently in rehearsal prior to hitting the road in March. Journey will kick off 2015 with a string of U.S. dates, touring with The Steve Miller Band and special guests Tower of Power. The U.S. trek begins on March 5 in Austin, Texas, at Austin360 Amphitheatre and winds up March 15 in West Palm Beach, Florida, at Cruzan Amphitheatre prior to the band heading out on the high seas March 18-19 on the Carnival Live Cruise.

Journey will then team up with Santana for a pair of dates March 26-27 in Mexico before making their Las Vegas debut, performing nine shows in Sin City at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. "Journey Las Vegas" will take place between April 29 - May 16. For more information, click here.
