Performing in front of tens of thousands of fans is all in a day’s work for Ellie Goulding. The British synth-pop star, currently in the middle of a headlining world that includes numerous festival pitstops, doesn’t miss a beat these days. But Goulding’s performance at Hangout Festival last night (May 22) showed that although she’s got the choreography down pat, she’s not afraid to throw in a few impromptu moves.
The lengthy set reminded us just how many hits Goulding has under her belt, while showcasing the strength of newer songs off Delirium. Goulding played hype man as fans took over the vocals on hits like “Love Me Like You Do,” “Burn" and “Anything Could Happen.” Key moments included a stunning rendition of her current hit "Army" as well as a booming take on the hook-filled “Codes.” Goulding’s polished yet playful set proved that although she’s got this performing thing down, she’s still having fun with the rest of us.

Goulding is currently on the North American leg of her 2016 Delirium World Tour, which features opening act Matt & Kim. She will play a slew of European festivals this summer before heading back stateside for Lollapalooza on July 31.
