Another polar vortex passing through the Midwest seemed like the perfect time for Coachella and BottleRock music festivals, both based in California, to announce their 2015 artist lineups today. Coachella takes place on consecutive weekends in April, 10-12 and repeats again on 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. BottleRock Napa Valley runs May 29 through 31.
Headliners for Coachella include AC/DC, Jack White and Drake. Florence and the Machine, Interpol, Steely Dan, Ryan Adams, St. Vincent, Tyler the Creator are just a handful of the artists that span a full range of music from hip-hop to hard rock. The full lineup is shown in the attached graphic and can be seen on the official Coachella web page. Tickets go on-sale tomorrow, Jan. 7, at 12 p.m. PDT.
BottleRock offers a lower key event in the heart of Napa, Calif. The three-day festival features quality music in addition to gourmet food and wine offerings--including VIP packages that highlight premier food and wine pairings. Music acts Imagine Dragons, Robert Plant, No Doubt were announced as the main stage headliners. Other featured artists include The Avett Brothers, Snoop Dogg, Cage the Elephant, Foster the People, Passion Pit, Capital Cities and Public Enemy, amongst more than 70 bands. Tickets for BottleRock are already on sale.
For those who prefer hard rock, Carolina Rebellion is expected to announce their lineup later this afternoon. They've been dropping pictogram hints on their social network channels today. Fans can expect to see Slipknot, Sammy Hagar, Bush, Halestorm and Marilyn Manson appearing at the Carolina Motor Speedway the weekend of May 2-3.
