The ladies of Little Mix are heading across the pond for their first-ever headlining tour of North America. The British pop quartet will play a series of 16 shows in the U.S. and Canada this fall, starting with a Sept. 10 date at the Mitzer Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton, FL.
Like the British pop sensation One Direction, Little Mix was put together on the UK version of The X Factor, becoming the first group to win the competition on the show’s eighth season in 2011. Their debut album "DNA" hit number four on the U.S. Billboard 200, making them the first girl group to reach the top five with their debut album since The Pussycat Dolls.
The group -- comprised of Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwal, and Perrie Edwards, who is engaged to 1D’s Zayn Malik -- released their sophomore album "Salute" in February, and has been opening for Demi Lovato this spring as part of her Neon Lights Tour.
Following their Boca Raton show, the quartet will hit 15 more cities, before wrapping up the tour with a stop at The Sound Academy in Toronto, Canada. Stops in New York, L.A., Houston, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Charlotte have also been announced.
The U.S. dates follow a series of headlining shows in their native U.K., which kick off on May 16 at the Birmingham LG Arena. Those shows run through early June, and Little Mix has a series of festival dates planned for later this summer, including the Isle of Wight on July 26 and the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan on Aug. 16.
With their distinct vocal harmonies and nods to old-school hip-hop on the Missy Elliott-assisted “How Ya Doin’?,” Little Mix is a cut above many of their pop peers. For a full list of their upcoming tour dates and to get tickets, click here.
