Austin City Limits Music Festival returned for its 13th year on Friday, Oct. 3, with the first of two-consecutive sold-out weekends. The three-day event at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, is expected to pull in over 200,000 people each weekend. Friday's headliners were Outkast and Beck.
Weather could not have been better, with high temperatures in the mid-80s and lows hovering in the 60s under sunny skies. Fans enjoyed great food and an seemingly endless array of music spread across eight stages--including Austin Kiddie Limits for those with children in tow. The biggest problem might have been choosing which artists to see: Beck versus Outkast was an obvious issue with both sets starting at 8:15 p.m., but other conflicts included Sam Smith performing opposite St. Vincent; and Childish Gambino against Foster the People.
Similar weather is expected throughout the weekend with a slight warming trend expect by Sunday. Saturday's highlight artists feature New Orleans native Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Poliça, Lana Del Rey, The Avett Brother, Interpol, Iggy Azalea and Eminem. Electronic dance music fans will have Skrillex and Major Lazer in their sights.
