A Modest Mouse rambles its way to Tampa’s version of Mardis Gras in the Gasparilla Music Festival this March 7th through the 8th. The indie-rock music band, Modest Mouse, is gearing up to participate in one of the most festive of festivals in the Tampa Bay Florida area. Modest Mouse has been known to electrify its audiences with its sold-out shows around the world. They will be headlining at the 2015 Gasparilla Festival in Tampa Florida to an expected crowd of over 10,000 Tampa residents, neighboring residents, and tourists of all ages.

This year’s Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa Florida will also be the home to additional music bands representing several different like Gospel, Country Rock, Alternative, and many others. Although they may not be as well known as Modest Mouse, these music bands need the support of everyone in the community, for without it they would not be able to partake in such a rewarding, yet difficult career.

It is for this reason that the Gasparilla Music Festival here in Tampa Florida is not just for prestige to the city of Tampa, it is to communicate to the world that we care about music, that we care about honoring the work of hard-working talented musicians like Modest Mouse, Mutemath, and The Abyssinians. Additional acts at this year’s Gasparilla Festival are Gogol Bordello, The Gaslight Anthem, Trampled by Turtles, The Budos Band, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Dumpstaphunk, Hiss Golden Messenger, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Hot 8 Brass Band, Margo & the Pricetags, and Packway Handle Band. This year’s local Florida performers will include The Hip Abduction, Miggs, Selwyn Birchwood, Suenalo, Thomas Wynn & the Believers, RedFeather, Amber Lynn Nicol, UNRB and Mt. Zion Gospel Choir with more acts to be added as the start date of March 7th approaches.

People from the Tampa Bay area and beyond will surely flock to the event again this year as the Mardis Gras like Gasparilla season continues to increase in popularity exponentially each year. The presence of the electrifying Modest Mouse only attests to this fact. It promises to be a piratey, bead-tossing, music-dancing-Modest-Mouse-Gasparilla-Festival-Mardis Gras-in-Tampa blast to remember. It is a way to entertain and to disrupt for a moment the grueling-everyday responsibilities of hard-working people and families.
