Let's salute 'Runway Heroes'

Bloomingdale's, located at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue, in the stylish and fast-paced metropolitan of Manhattan, is presenting a very momentous fashion event on Saturday, November 1, 2014, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The fashion show will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Featuring kids, all about kids and recognizing the bravest and most admirable kids of all, 'Runway Heroes' little kids, big dreams, is a fashion show featuring childhood cancer fighters and survivors ranging in age from 3 to 13 years of age.

In clothing for both school and play, these tenacious tots will walk the runway with a sense of pride and accomplishment and look trend-setting as they do it. The day will benefit The Ronan Thompson Foundation and Solving Kids' Cancer. These two fantastic life-changing charities were chosen because of the amazing work that they do on a continual basis. The Ronan Thompson Foundation works diligently on a daily basis to try and find all the necessary tools to work towards finding a cure for neuroblastoma, mostly attacking children over adults. The money raised will be put towards a world-class research and care center where the primary goal is to try and find the proper treatment to reduce the number of cases afflicting our nation and increasing survival rates for those living with the disease.

Solving Kids' Cancer devotes themselves specifically to improving the rate of survivorship from some of the most pernicious forms of childhood cancer. This 501 (c) (3) public charity was the creation of two fathers living in New York City who shared one common factor, both their children succumbed to pediatric cancer. The dads have made a vow to never give up until a cure can be found. All donations raised will go towards finding, funding and managing clinical trials and scientific programs in an effort to quickly develop more effective and less toxic treatments.

Spinning all the hits for this fun fashion event will be the 11-year-old favorite in the entertainment world, the pint-sized DJ Fulano. Joining him to host this unforgettable event will be Celia Babini, the very talented actress/model along with holding the title of Solving Kids' Cancer Ambassador.

The public is invited to attend and participate. Capture it all on film in the photo booth that awaits. Sweet treats will be from one of the most famous confectionery shops in all of New York City, Dylan's Candy Bar.

Come on up to Young World on 8 at Bloomingdale's, 1000 Third Avenue, New York City. Shop for the kids all weekend long and 10% of all sales in the Young World Department will benefit both organizations to support pediatric cancer research. Let's all try to make this a record-breaking event and show the kids what life is all about.
