Legoland UK creates Lego Glastonbury featuring Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran has now been immortalized in Lego after the model makers at Legoland Windsor have created an entire brick-based model of the upcoming Glastonbury Music Festival.

NME reports that Legoland staff built the tiny Glastonbury as part of Miniland, the Legoland attraction that features Lego replicas of various UK and US landmarks, and consists of more than 40 million Lego bricks. Other pieces in Miniland include London's Millenium Bridge, Canary Wharf and City Hall. You can check out the entire exhibit through video on YouTube.

But none of those landmarks are as creative as Lego Glastonbury, which also features constructed versions of Sheeran's co-headliners Radiohead and Foo Fighters. The NME report states that it includes such details as Lego bathrooms (including one being tipped over), Lego tents, Lego concessions and the world famous Glastonbury sign put together in bright colors. NME says that the project took 9,872 Lego bricks to complete. For perspective, that's more than double the 4,295 bricks it takes to build Lego's massive Tower Bridge replica, and more than 17 times the 553 bricks that went into making the iconic Yellow Submarine.

Sheeran is a known Lego fan; he even wrote a song called "Lego House" which you can listen to by using the media player included with this article. Maybe he can visit his miniature self before he plays London's O2 Arena on Thursday. Tickets for that concert are still available through AXS.
