In 1992, there was a concert venue that began what was known as the alternative rock and grunge era in Dallas. That concert was Edge Fest. Pearl Jam played, and after that, Dallas fell in love with the alternative rock scene. More than 20 years later, Edge Fest is still an icon, bringing alternative rock bands into Dallas. In Frisco this year, people are planning to rock out at Toyota Stadium and AXS has privy to the complete list of bands, as well as where you can get tickets.
Hozier has become a chart smashing new artist. With his debut album, along with the hit single "Take Me To Church," this artist is on fire. From SNL to local radio shows, everyone wants to talk to this amazing musician. He is on the guest list for performing artists at this years Edge Fest.
Also on the list is The Offspring, who surprisingly have never played at the festival before. Out with their newest album, "Coming For You," which features an oh-so-creepy clown on the front cover. It is for sure that they will be headlining the festival, and will be playing some of their greatest hits as well as songs from their newest production.
The entire list of artists includes Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Awolnation, Dirty Heads, Vance Joy, Banks, New Politics, Yelawolf, Andrew Macmahon in the Wilderness, The Kooks, Robert DeLong, Joy Wave, Hour Band, and of course Hozier and The Offspring. Festival date is set for April 25. Tickets are on sale right now and you can get them here.
Sponsored in part by 102.1 KDGE, the iHeartRadio Festival Ticket prices range from $10.21 - $225.00 each. At Toyota Stadium, the more expensive tickets are the better tickets, and are worth the additional cost. The stadium is an outdoor venue with limited coverage, so plan ahead with sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
