Grandaddy announce West Coast tour dates for spring

Rock band, Grandaddy, announced several West Coast shows today, in support of their forthcoming album, Last Place. The album will be released via 30th Century Records on Mar. 3. This record is the band's first material in over 10 years. Their tour includes a show at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on May 12. They also have a one-off show in New York City at Le Poisson Rouge on Feb. 28, which sold-out. Two additional shows near NYC have been added, including the sold-out date at Rough Trade on March 2. There are still tickets for their performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 1. The band is touring internationally, with a UK tour and several festivals. Tickets are available for all shows as of today, Feb. 3.

The band recently debuted a new track from their upcoming album titled "Evermore," and can be viewed with the accompanying video in this article. They've also released "Way We Won't," and "A Lost Machine," also on their upcoming album. Pre-order Last Place here.

Grandaddy parted ways in 2006, and lead singer, Jason Lytle, released two solo albums. He moved to Portland, Oregon by chance, and returned to his former home of Modesto, California. He felt that the songs he had written were the best fit for another Grandaddy album. The result is the upcoming Last Place, which is sure to be critically and fan-acclaimed, like their previous work.
