Free concerts for the 4th of July in Nashville 2016

The celebration of freedom and America encompasses the 4th of July holiday. With the celebration often comes free concerts and fireworks throughout the area. Downtown Nashville will be filled with music during the Fourth of July weekend this year.

Let Freedom Sing is the largest free fireworks display and concert event in Nashville, Tennessee. With fireworks, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and headlining performer Sheryl Crow nothing will beat a fun day to celebrate freedom and America. The free concert event will also feature Maddie & Tae, Erin McCarley, Andrew Combs, Rayland Baxter and Ruby Amanfu. The free concert moves to two stages at Ascend Amphitheater and The Green at Riverfront Park this year. Enjoy the events on July 4, 2016 starting at 12:00 PM CST.

Another part of the Let Freedom Sing event will be occurring on July 3, 2016 with free concerts and family fun events. Singer Brandy Clark will be headlining the musical acts for the free concerts that day. DJ DU, Shelly Colvin, and Jason Eskridge will also perform at the event. The concerts will begin around 4:00 PM CST and end with Clark at 8:00 PM and fireworks at 9:00 PM.

If you are wanting to enjoy some Nashville Hot Chicken and enjoy some music as well it might be a good idea to head over to the 10th annual Music City Hot Chicken Festival. The event will be held on Monday, July 4, 2016 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at East Park. The Fire Truck Parade begins at 10:30 am, followed by free Hot Chicken samples to the first 500 people in line. This East side tradition includes the best hot chicken in town, cold beer, and other vendors. Live music will be going on all day and will include local Nashville artists, Shelby Bottom String Band, Stephen Salyers, India Ramey and Kevin Ball and the Busters. Admission is free to attend.
