Biography
In 1950 pianist, composer, and bandleader Duke Ellington released his first full length 12 inch LP Masterpieces. No longer constrained by the limitations of recording technology, Ellington released full length renditions of many of his most popular tunes including “Mood Indigo” “Sophisticated Lady” and “Solitude.” Join the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra as they recreate the genius of this amazing album.
