Bio: Have a Nice Life
Have A Nice Life formed in the early aughts when its two primary members, Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga, were studying at the University of Massachusetts. With the aim of crafting "oddly aggressive acoustic songs," the duo spent five years constructing their debut LP Deathconsciousness, a 2008 release that rippled across the post-punk landscape. Now hailed for its anguished subject matter and unwaveringly lo-fi production, Deathconsciousness is considered an experimental cornerstone.
Bio: There Were Wires
There Were Wires (Iodine, Tor Johnson): an underground chaotic hardcore band (featuring members of Doomriders, Disappearer, Moment, and Purity’s Failure) who cut their teeth in the basements & VFW halls of New England in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. TWW shows were an exhausting avalanche of enthusiastic audience participation, and they quickly gained a steady following leading to their first self-titled record. Stages were shared with bands like Mastodon, Converge,The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more. Despite the band being put to bed back in 2004—shortly after releasing their final recording ‘Somnambulists’ on Iodine records—they are now newly risen after nearly two decades.
