Bio: Ray-Ban x APE Presents: Summer Sessions

To kick off this year’s festival season, East London’s leading festival Luno presents All Points East is excited to announce three intimate shows in collaboration with Iconic eyewear brand Ray-Ban. Ray-Ban X APE present The Summer Sessions is heading to three London venues across May, June and July, showcasing a handful of the most exciting artists of 2022; Sherelle plus special guests at Colour Factory (26th May), Kenny Beats, and his Friends at KOKO (9th June) and Self Esteem at Earth at Dalston (14th July).

Creatively driven by Ray-Ban and specially curated by Luno presents All Points East, Ray-Ban  X APE presents The Summer Sessions is a moment to see these incredibly talented acts up close and personal ahead of the main festival weekends between 19th-28th August. As part of the festival’s ongoing collaboration with Ray-Ban, each show will be a unique moment to celebrate London’s diverse and authentic music scene.

Kicking off the proceedings on 26th May at Colour Factory in Hackney Wick, force of nature Sherelle will be playing APE x Ray-Ban present The Summer Sessions’ first showcase, leading the next generation of high-speed ravers. She’ll be joined on the night by special guests multi-genre producer LCY, DIY spirited and visual artist Nia Archives, and Foundation FM will be hosting the terrace all night.

Next up on 9th June, it’s a celebration of future sounds at Camden’s iconic venue KOKO and one of the first shows there since its re-opening. The extremely sought-after producer of his generation Kenny Beats and his Friends headlines, featuring special guest Knucks who’s made a real name for himself with his West African-inspired skits and unorthodox style.

The series ends on a high with one of the UK’s most celebrated live acts, Self Esteem, on 14th July at Earth at Hackney. This is a chance to see the undeniably talented Sheffield star in the intimate environment she thrives in most. She has had an incredible year with the release of her acclaimed album, Prioritise Pleasure and a huge sell out tour, this show is the final chance to catch her in London before All Points East.
