About The Vic Theatre
The Vic Theatre originally opened in 1912 as a vaudeville and movie house during Chicago’s early theater era. Designed by architect John E.O. Pridmore, the venue became known for its ornate details, grand staircases, and classic theater design. After operating as both a cinema and a performance space for decades, the building underwent restoration work in the 1980s that helped transform it into the live music and entertainment venue it is today.2
Over the years, The Vic Theatre has welcomed performers including Leon Bridges, The Lumineers, and Portugal. The Man, along with comedians such as Jim Gaffigan and Iliza Shlesinger.2
