It’s being billed as THE event of the season. Eric Church, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, The Roots and a slew of other bands will perform at The American Roots Music and Arts Festival at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Walnut Creek Amphitheatre October 17-18. The Festival is a joint venture of Blackbird Production Partners and Live Nation. In addition to the extensive lineup of bands and musicians, the festival will feature local foods, beers and craft vendors as part of the Taste of Raleigh Food and Brews Celebration.

Church, a North Carolina native, will be performing on both days of the festival. He is currently wrapping up his Outsiders World Tour as his single release “Like a Wrecking Ball” (not to be confused with the Miley Cyrus song) is climbing Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The country music superstar is getting his own exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame. “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider” opens at the Nashville museum September 18 and will run through Feb. 29, 2016.

In addition to Church, Nelson, Crowe and The Roots, Warren Haynes, Grace Potter, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chris Stapleton and Modest Mouse are scheduled to perform. Additional acts are continually being added to the lineup. For the latest information, visit Blackbird Presents.

“Raleigh has an energy that celebrates the best in music, food and arts, making it the perfect place to launch the American Roots Music & Arts Festival,” says Blackbird Production Partners CEO Keith Wortman in a press release earlier this month. The Walnut Creek Amphitheatre has a capacity of 20,000 and during its 25-year history has hosted some of the biggest artists and bands in the country.

Tickets are available through Live Nation. Two-day tickets start at $79 for general admission lawn seats. VIP and travel packages are available. Travel packages include hotel stay and transportation from hotel to the amphitheater (note: one hotel option is already sold out.) Children age 2 or younger are free provided they sit on a paying adult’s lap (this applies to reserved and lawn seats.) Parking fee is included in the ticket price. Close to the gate premier parking is available for an additional fee.
