Drake dropped his highly anticipated new project More Life via his OVO Sound Radio on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Drake announced the project in October of 2016, saying that More Life would be a playlist and not an album. Drake and manager Oliver El-Khatib introduced the playlist on the 39th episode of OVO Sound Radio on Saturday, March 18.
More Life is a bit of a departure from Drake’s previous album, 2016’s Views, or rather, it is more of return to the hard rapping Drake in contrast to the emotionally charged Views. There was only one confirmed artist on the project before it dropped, grime artist Griggs, and there was wild speculation as to who else Drake would bring on for the project. We know now that More Life contains appearances by Black Coffee, Jorja Smith, Sampha, Skepta, Quavo of Migos, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Kanye West and more.
