Diana Rein is prepping to officially release her new 12-track album, Long Road on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. The album was mixed and mastered by Peter Duff at Grey Brick Studios in San Diego, California. But first, for those AXS readers who are still not familiar with Diana Rein, fret not. Here is the skinny on the artist in question:
Diana Rein, also known to her fans as the six-string siren, is a singer, a songwriter and a musician. She was born in Romania. She was raised in Chicago, Illinois.
Currently based in Los Angeles, California, Rein both the guitar and bass. Her signature sound is a musical mix of indie blues and blues rock. She began her career playing acoustic rhythm guitar in the Windy City.
Her rock resume thus far is highlighted by her premiere platter titled The Back Room. It includes eight of her earliest original songs. It hit the record racks in 2007.
She has performed both with a band and as a solo artist. She performed regularly at such venues as Lucille’s, Joe’s Bar, Fitzgerald’s and The Double Door. According to her official Facebook musician page she also performed at The Taste of Chicago “right before [her biggest influence] Bonnie Raitt hit the stage”. She has also played at colleges and festivals.
