David Gray and Alison Krauss are performing in concert together this fall. The "Enter Lightly" singer and the "Gentle On My Mind" performer announced a co-headlining U.S. tour on Monday via press release, which will visit 21 cities and last just over a month from Sept. 18 to Oct. 19.

The tour brings together two artists who have both been nominated for Grammy Awards on the same stage. Gray is a Grammy nominee, while Krauss has won 27 Grammy Awards from 42 nominations, making her the most winning female artist in the history of the awards. Both have been on the road and in the studio for decades, with Krauss having released 14 albums and Gray having put out 10, which will become 11 as the press release also indicated he's currently in production on a new record slated to be finished next year.

Thus it's not hard to see why they'd go out on tour together; both are talented singer-songwriters with staying power in the music world, and between them likely have enough fan favorites to make one heck of a set list. They'll be all across the country this fall, starting at the Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Penn. and finishing up at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif. (They'll actually be playing two Greek Theatres, including the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as two nights at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, which is their only multiple-night stop on the tour.)

Fans of either David Gray or Alison Krauss, or fans of singer-songwriters in general, will want to add this tour to their fall to-do list and get the chance to see two veteran artists on the same bill. Both of them have done their fair share of touring over their lengthy careers, but how often will fans be able to watch them together?
