It’s coming up sooner than you think. The annual Big Gig in Denver, hosted by Channel 93.3 (KTCL 93.3-FM), is back on July 19, 2014, with a new lineup of great national acts and local bands, headlined by alt-rockers Panic! At the Disco.
Currently promoting their most recent release Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, Panic! At the Disco will be taking an early detour from their upcoming “The Gospel Tour” to join us in Denver for the Big Gig. Joining them will be tour mates Walk the Moon and Magic Man, along with Twenty One Pilots, MS MR, Bad Suns, Brick + Mortar, and American Authors (whose breakout hit “Best Day of My Life” recently peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart).
Along with the lineup of acts on the main stage, once again the Big Gig will host a “Locals Only” stage with Denver bands previously chosen by fan voting. The Locals Only stage this year features Glowing House, Post Paradise, Rumours Follow, Chemistry Club and Pandas & People.
Formerly held at Red Rocks each July, this year’s Big Gig has been moved to the newly remodeled Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village. The best news is that ticket prices are quite reasonable for a lineup this large (and this impressive), starting at $15 and going up to $50. Tickets are still available at press time at AXS. Additionally, Channel 93.3 is currently giving away pairs of tickets to the Big Gig to lucky listeners four times a day on the radio. For all the details, tune in to KTCL 93.3-FM, or visit online at area93.com.
Fiddler’s Green is located at 6350 Greenwood Plaza Blvd. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with music kicking off at 3:30. This show is all ages.
