The top vallenato artist and most beloved in Latin music Carlos Vives returns to American Airlines Arena May 6. The much awaited concert of the year in Miami, Carlos Vives - La Fiesta de Todos, promises to be one of the best in 2016.
In 2015, Carlos Vives closed out Unido2 tour along with Marc Anthony although Vives wasn't scheduled to perform with Anthony in Miami at the time. The tour was the sixth highest grossed tour in the United States, sharing the list with Taylor Swift and One Direction who were the two top leaders respectively. Vives performed in 2014 at the American Airlines Arena to a full arena with hopes for a repeat or a sold out concert with Carlos Vives - La Fiesta de Todos.
Composer, singer, actor, businessman and ambassador of USAID, Vives is the most symbolic artist of Colombia and one of the most important Latin music figures. He holds more than 30 million sold records worldwide and is considered as one of the pioneers in Colombian pop music. Noteworthy, he was the first Colombian to win a Grammy Award and so far has won two Grammys and nine Latin Grammys. But not only does Vives take Grammy awards, he's also been nominated for numerous Latin music awards and has won "Premios Juventud", "Billboard Latin Music Awards" and "Premios Lo Nuestro" among many others. In the latter, he's the 2016 recipient for the Excellency Award.
Surprisingly Vives made a tremendous come back in Latin music after a lengthy absence with two top charting albums and top singles - "Cuando nos Volvamos a Encontrar" featuring Marc Anthony, "Bailar Contigo", "El Mar De Sus Ojos" and "Volví a Nacer".
Tickets for Carlos Vives - La Fiesta de Todos are currently on sale at Ticketmaster here and at American Airlines Arena box office.
