It probably worked in Calibash's favor to reschedule the popular star studded concert event to the beginning of 2015. Calisbash 2015, held this past Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles, not only broke its own record of ticket sales, but also made history at the venue in ticket sales.
The exceptional and successful eighth year of Calibash previously scheduled for Nov. 22 was moved to January 2015 after iHeartMedia announced the launch of its first iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina scheduled for the same date. But it didn't deter Calibash plans, its producers or fans from attending Calibash 2015 just a few months later.
Calibash recognized as the top urban Latin music festival headlining top notch entertainment ties in the most popular artists including uprising talent. Its 2015 edition featured a total of fifteen Latin artists this year: 3BallMTY, Gente de Zona, Maluma, Becky G, Johnny Blade, Pitbull, Don Omar, Carlos Vives, Farruko, Monster Kids, Jayko, Tego Calderón, Wisin, Plan B and J Alvarez. Representing different countries and music genres from urban to tropical, each performed before a dancing and singing crowd of 17,768 fans from start to finish. SBS and AEG Live carried on with a high quality production that included a rotating stage, videos, smoke and the latest in pyrotechnics technology.
Just before the start of Calibash 2015, Los Angeles radio station Mega 96.3 FM presented the official Calibash Pre-Fest Brand Garden. The free outdoor family event featured live music, games, free sponsor samples and many fun activities.
