This spring, Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy will be headed to the Big Apple as part of his current Outside tour. On May 6, the red-hot dance hall performer will play a show at New York, New York’s PlayStation Theater. Burna Boy is making the sojourn to The City That Never Sleeps in support of his very good 2016 EP, Redemption, which Radar Online called a “pleasurable experience.” Tickets for this sure to be stellar show are on sale now.
Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy began his career in 2010 and released his first record, Burn Notice, the following year. His international breakthrough came with the release of his third album, 2013’s L.I.F.E. - Leaving an Impact for Eternity. The record sold 40,000 copies on its first day of release and received widespread critical acclaim. In addition to the success the album enjoyed in Nigeria, its singles “Tonight” and “Like to Party” received millions of players on YouTube.
