Alternative rock phenoms Brand New and Modest Mouse have teamed up for a co-headlining North American tour, and on their trek they will be stopping through Grand Prairie, Texas on Friday, July 22 to play at The Field @ Verizon Theatre. Both bands will be playing full headlining sets, alternating who performs last at different venues throughout the tour (Brand New will be last for this event). They will also be the only two acts on the bill, with no openers, allowing fans to revel in the two group's catalogs exclusively.
The tour kicks off in June and comes after reports that Brand New may drop a new album this year, as well as a statement in October that implied this may be the last tour. As a potential final tour, they couldn't be alongside a more appropriate and beloved band. Modest Mouse dropped their latest project, Strangers to Ourselves, in March of 2015, and are still riding on that wave.
The Field which is adjacent to Verizon Theatre (1001 Performance Place, Grand Prairie, TX), features an outdoor stage that offers ample space and only one general admission ticket level. Because the lawn viewing doesn't offer ticketed seating, guests are encouraged to come early to garner the best view possible. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will kick off promptly at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available now for the Grand Prairie event, exclusively though AXS.com here.
