Denver-based modern rock radio station Channel 93.3 has announced the lineup for their Big Gig 2017 concert and the bill is pretty stacked. Taking place on Aug. 12 at Greenwood Village, Colorado’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater, the show will be headlined by veteran pop punk band blink-182. While a performance from such a high profile group would likely be enough to fill the amphitheater by itself, the band will be supported by some excellent and diverse acts.
First up, New York City’s own Bleachers, the indie pop band fronted by fun lead guitarist Jack Antonoff. The band’s most recent single is the Lorde collaboration “Don’t Take The Money.” Next up, Philadelphia hailing electro-pop duo Marian Hill. Their best single to date is the minimalist trip-hop flavored “Down.” Also on the bill are Austin, Texas-based alt-rock outfit The Wind + The Wave. The taut and freewheeling “Grand Canyon” is probably the best introduction to their work.
The Big Gig 2017 concert also feature a performance from DREAMERS, pop rock trio. Their track “Sweet Disaster” is an ideal soundtrack for working at a go nowhere retail job. Lastly, what is Los Angeles-founded indie-pop group Sir Sly. They probably best-known for their song “Gold” being used for the promotional campaign for “Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag.” Tickets for the show go on sale April 14.
