One of the best things about living in Florida is being able to enjoy outdoor events all year long. Kids especially love to get out of the house and have some fun in the community. The Tampa Bay area is home to many events all year long, including some free events that are planned for the little ones this spring. Here are some of the best events planned in March and throughout the spring season.
Kids will have a blast at the Home Depot Kids Workshop where they can have the opportunity to make their very own special craft. Kids will be able to put their creative skills to work and learn some basic handyman skills in the process. All kids get to take their craft home with them, along with their certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron and a commemorative pin (while supplies last). The Home Depot Kids Workshop is scheduled for March 5, 2016 from 9 a.m. until noon. This is a free event and available at all Home Depot locations, including the one located at 1712 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa. For more information call the Dale Mabry location at (813) 879-1000.
Every Friday the Family Resource Center in Tampa hosts Ages and Stages Playtime at Town ‘N Country. This is a free event and will be available in the spring, including March 5, 2016 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will be held at the Family Resource Centers, located at 7520 W. Waters Avenue, Suite #8 in Tampa. For more information call (813) 356-1703.
On Saturday, March 19, 2016, the MacDill Air Force Base will be hosting the 2016 Air Fest. This all-day event is free to the public and is a way for the base to say “Thank You” to the community and state for their continued support. The 2016 Air Fest will feature displays of military aircraft, aerial demonstrations by both military and civilian performance and plenty of opportunity to learn more about military personnel and the equipment they use at the base. Gates open at 8 a.m. and aerial demonstrations are set to begin at 10 a.m. The MacDill Air Force Base is located at 6801 S. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.
