The night before Cinco de Mayo in Denver, the Take Note The Concert event takes place at the 1STBANK Center with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats as the featured acts. The proceeds from this special event go to the Governor's Initiative, Take Note Colorado, which expands music education programs in schools. Some big bands are also performing at this concert, with OneRepublic, Isaac Slade of The Fray, and more. Tickets for this concert are available at AXS and start out at just $25.
Denver band Tatanka will play the night before Cinco de Mayo in Denver at the Bluebird Theater. Tatanka plays music that mixes the dance-oriented electronic sounds with Caribbean influences to remain a popular act both locally and nationwide. Joining Tatanka for this concert are Project 432, Selecta Razja, and P-Nuckle. Tickets for this concert are available through AXS starting at just $10.
The 2nd Annual Dada Land Before Time concert takes place on Cinco de Mayo in Denver at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This is a huge concert event that features Dada Life as the featured act. Fans who have never seen Dada Life in concert are in for a treat because their only rules are that there are no rules, adding insane stunts and amazing visual effects into their performances. One night after Tatanka plays at Bluebird Theater, Dragondeer will serve as the headlining act on Cinco de Mayo in Denver. This is the band's 7" Record Release Party for Topanga Canyon Sessions Vol. 1. The band is a local psych-blues band and this gives them a chance to celebrate their new release with fans who have supported them as they reached this point of their career. Cinco de Mayo in Denver is just the start to the weekend of partying. The day after Cinco de Mayo, the Denver DerbyParty 2017 kicks off at Sculpture Park. This is the original Derby Party that is held the first Saturday of every May in Denver and proceeds from the event goes to the Sean "Ranch" Lough Memorial Scholarship, which helps deserving students go to college.
