The Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL were making an impact in the Atlanta community on Tuesday following their practice. The Gladiators  practiced with students from three special education classes from West Hall Middle School. The program also allowed the special education students to connect and socialize with eighth grade basketball players in Georgia.

On the ice meanwhile, the Gladiators have ten more games left in the ECHL regular season schedule. Their next game is on Wednesday when they host the South Carolina Stingrays, a minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals.

Like the Gladiators, the Stingrays are not in a playoff spot at this time. However, the Stingrays are only two points back of the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL's South Division for a playoff spot, while the Gladiators are 15 points back of Orlando.

At 24 wins, 30 losses and eight losses in either overtime or a shootout, the Gladiators will need to win eight of their last ten games to reach the .500 mark this season. Their leading scorer this season is Justin Buzzeo. However, Buzzeo, a native of Windsor, Ontario is no longer on the Gladiators roster as he was traded to the Solar Bears on March 7 for rookie Alex Gacek and future considerations.
