Sorry, there are no Storm Large dates.
Storm Large set audiences on fire when she made her debut with Pink Martini in April 2011 singing four sold-out concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and has joined them as guest vocalist for several tours since May 2010. This year she's continuing her tour with her own band - The Balls - and an eclectic set that shows off her exuberant personality and mesmerizing vocals. Large and her band made their orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 2010, and have had several sold out performances with them in the years since. Storm will be singing with the Oregon Symphony again in May 2013 at Carnegie Hall, and will appear with the Oregon Symphony to headline another show with The Balls again in their upcoming season.
Large has been singing since the age of five. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Large moved to San Francisco and later to Portland, where she founded her band Storm and The Balls. The Balls developed a cult-like following in clubs for their "mash up" renditions of artists such as ABBA, Billy Idol, Led Zeppelin and Olivia Newton-John as well as their own compositions. Large shot to national prominence in 2006 as a finalist on the CBS show Rock Star: Supernova. In 2009 she performed her autobiographical musical memoir Crazy Enough to packed houses during its unprecedented 17-week sold-out run at Portland Center Stage. Recently Large performed the show to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Joe's Pub in New York and throughout Australia. Crazy Enough is working to appear Off-Broadway soon, and a book version of her autobiography has been published by Simon & Schuster and was released January 2012. Storm has and appeared throughout the United States including performances at Central Park's Summerstage and with the Minnesota Orchestra with Pink Martini. Storm has released seven albums and made guest star appearances on at least a
dozen others.
Don’t miss this knock-out performance by a singer who is making waves wherever she goes
