Sorry, there are no Mono/Poly headlines.
In defying the laws of tradition, Los Angeles based music producer Mono/Poly (born Charles Dickerson) has managed to outstrip the logics of multi-genre producing. Known for his distinct madness of face melting bass, paired with his dreamy astral soundscapes of glitch-based hip-hop, Mono/Poly has proved himself to be a natural phenomenon.
His debut album, "The George Machine" (EP) was released in the fall of 2009 on Faces Records, which was followed by his first full-length solo album “Paramatma" (Tasteful Licks) in the spring of 2010. In 2011 Mono/Poly released “Manifestations", making a strong debut on the Brainfeeder label, and it continues its heavy rotation being played by the likes of Radiohead, Erykah Badu and Jay Scarlett at BBC Radio’s 1XTRA. After the self released “Killer B’s” released in 2012 he began 2014 at Brainfeeder with the full length album “Golden Skies”. Continuing this momentum 2014 saw the success of “Cryptic” on Hit+Run, which has made it’s way to the global airwaves on various radio shows including LeFtO’s weekly on Belgiums Studio Brussel.
Mono/Poly appears on releases from Warp records and Planet Mu, featured alongside fellow artists Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Daedelus, and Nosaj Thing. His gravitational attraction to revolutionary sounds has gained vast recognition among listeners and artists as one of the hottest up-and-coming producers in the world.
In 2015 he had a featured track on the new Grand Theft Auto 5 soundtrack, Ne-Yo's 'Religious', and 'Skip Skip' by Tha Dogg Pound & Snoop Dogg. Lately Mono/Poly has been busy with features on Thundercat’s “Drunk", and Noisia’s newest album “Outer Edges Remixes”, as well as production work with Kendrick Lamar on the song “Untitled 08” (Blue Faces).
He continues to perform his live sets across the globe having covered places such as Greece, Switzerland, France and Lithuania, in addition to his touring in the US.
