Ben Gleib Biography

Ben Gleib is a standup comedian, actor, and writer, and headlines comedy clubs and colleges around the globe. Esquire named him one of "SIX COMEDIANS WHO COULD BE COMEDY'S NEXT BIG THING."
He's a regular round table guest on the hit show CHELSEA LATELY on E!
and was one of the stars of the NBC comedy series THE REAL WEDDING CRASHERS which aired right after "Heroes," (at the time his favorite show.) He recently completed shooting a pilot for FOX called "Naked But Funny."
Gleib has performed his standup on THE LATE LATE SHOW on CBS, and on NBC on LAST CALL with CARSON DALY
and LAST COMIC STANDING. He also makes frequent appearances talking politics on NPRnpr_logo%5B1%5D.png on the PATT MORRISON PROGRAM.

When in town, he can often be seen performing at the legendary Hollywood Improv ImprovLogo.jpg

No stranger to the internets, Gleib's online videos have received a total of more than 12 MILLION VIEWS.

In 2006 he sold a pilot called THE GLEIB SHOW to FOX fox_tv_logo-med-small_1.jpg produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels and NBC/Universal. Before that "The Gleib Show" ran for 3 seasons as the #1 show on the National Lampoon Network, airing to millions of college students across the country. And before that he did it for 4 years in college, at The University of California, San Diego, where his show became a class that students could take for 4 full units. This helped him, and several of his close friends graduate. He was asked to speak at his graduation, and filled it with lots of inappropriate jokes and a Bill Clinton impression.

An LA native, Gleib is a unique voice in comedy, and is known for a wide range of material, and quick improvisational skills.
A versatile writer and performer, he recently shot three other pilots, including a BET improv comedy show called "Get It In," and "CQC" a comedic news show where he got to mess with with Barack Obama, Bill & Hillary Clinton, and ruined a John McCain press conference, getting kicked out by the secret service! Gleib can also can be seen in a supporting role in the feature film, "Bar Starz" a comedy starring Charlie Murphy that was in theaters for a very short time.

A workaholic, he has also hosted several pods for Al Gore's CURRENT TV, hosted a webseries called "COUCH CRASHERS," wrote a monthly column for "Saturday Night Magazine," and appeared as a guest on FOX REALITY CHANNEL's REALITY REMIX ,TV GUIDE CHANNEL's REALITY CHAT, and No Good TV's Up Close with Carrie Keegan(ngtv.com). He also used to write for Collegehumor.com - one of the most popular sites on the internet, was the voice of Dirk Melvin on the animated series "THE MELVIN BROS." on gopotato.tv (or youtube,), and used to write a "Celebrity Blog" for tvguide.com. Gleib is consistently in the Top 10 on the syndicated radio show "Comedy Countdown" (also on XM,) is one of the top comedians on myspace, and is a regular on SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO. In addition, he has written the RADIO MUSIC AWARDS for ABC ABC-logo.jpg, and hosted a pilot for E! called CASUAL FRIDAYS. He has also performed in the Vancouver Comedy Festival, and the Laughing Matters Festival in the Netherlands.

In 2006 released his first comedy album, titled "NOT AVAILABLE IN STORES."
It is available online by clicking here.
His second album is due out soon. As soon as he can decide on a title.

Some random facts include... when he was still in college he pranked his way onto THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, and a memorable episode of BLIND DATE, pretending he was an Israeli guy with no social skills, and had one of the most awkward dates ever. For his college talk show, Carmen Electra was his last guest, and Gleib was featured all over her E! True Hollywood Story.

He is proudest that he can probably eat more than you.

Scot Richardson, C.O.O.

Scot Richardson is the C.O.O. of Ben Gleib Global. And by that we mean he writes and produces comedy. He has served as Executive Producer and co-head writer for National Lampoon's "The Gleib Show," the #1 show on National Lampoon's college network, sold a pilot to Fox with Lorne Michael's Broadway Video, writes regularly for Collegehumor.com, and is currently writing and producing "The Melvin Bros," an online animated show for gopotato.tv. He is barely ever involved in corporate accounting scandals and is not friends with George Bush. A trustworthy resume indeed.
