One of the great American musical treasures emanating from East LA, El Chicano was clearly on the forefront to proudly proclaim their social, cultural, and ethnic identity through not only their all-inclusive music, but just as significantly through their chosen namesake.

as it inspired and gave rise to another identifiable source of pride and
distinction for legions of Mexican-American youth in the evolving late
Sixties and early Seventies.
