Sorry, there are no Lucy Stone dates.
Though you may be hearing her name for the first time, Lucy Stone has a voice thats hard to forget. APhiladelphianative, the 20 year-old songstress has already dedicated herself to more projects than a person has fingers. Picking up the guitar at an early age, Lucy was performing original compositions by 12, and teaching voice lessons by 16, constantly forming new groups in which to experiment with different musical styles. Having opened for national acts such as The Dirty Projectors, Cymbals Eat Guitars, B.o.B and Major Lazer, the young college student has just finished working with multi-platinum recording artist Rusted Root on their upcoming album.
Transitioning from a multi-band repertoire to her newly formed solo project, Lucy released her first EP, Would You? in late April. Showcasing a unique lyrical style, the songs are intricately crafted, and were recorded inWest Philadelphia by Brandon Bost, Paul Impellizeri, Isaac Louis and Sean Donaghy, the current members of the band. With a variety of folk-inspired harmonies and re-vamped vintage guitar tones, the bass and drums drive the arrangements, tastefully borrowing a 60's pop sensibility that defines the blues-based indie-pop band.
