Paper Diamond Biography
Ever since Alex Botwin launched his Paper Diamond moniker slightly over two years ago, the multigenre producer and instrumentalist has brought his artistic sounds to the masses making festival appearances this summer at Detroit's Movement Fest to New York City’s Governors Ball, HARD Summer in Los Angeles, and Austin City Limits. In addition to his debut performance this summer at Bonnaroo, and closing out LA's HARD Day Of The Dead - Paper Diamond spent the good majority of 2013 on the road playing extensive tours with Excision and more recently Zeds Dead.
As the new year quickly approaches, Paper Diamond shows no signs of slowing down as he announces his first headline tour of 2014, along with musical guests LoudPvck, Branchez, Gent & Jawns, and Manic Focus in select markets plus more artists to be announced.
The dynamics of Paper Diamond's live performance makes every show a unique experience. Alex explains how he improvises each set live every night to give his fans a truly unique experience. “I'm using my iPad on stage to control two computers, one has Ableton to play the music, which then sends a MIDI signal to the second computer, where I can control all of the LEDs and live visuals on stage that will capture the nonstop energy of my set. So basically, I get to represent myself in not just a musical manner, but I get to provide an overall visual experience for my fans as well."
