As some may describe Matthew Moon's music as "cool folk meets smart pop", he possesses a wide vocal range that lets him go from gentle to growl, as evident on his new hit single, "Don't Change For Me", a recent songwriting collaboration with Grammy-nominated artists Jesse Valenzuela (Gin Blossoms) and Danny Wilde (Rembrandts). In addition to being featured in a Budweiser 2008 Summer Olympics Promo on NBC, and as the closing credits track for last summer's hit movie, "Soccer Mom," the song will also be the lead-off track on the mutli-platinum band, the Gin Blossom's, 2010 album, "No Chocolate Cake".The Denver Post says this of Matthew Moon- "Tight songwriting and lush delivery prompt Colorado rock fans to tout this performer as the state's next breakout."Matthew Moon, a recent Denver-to-L.A. transplant, has a rich history of recording and performance experience, a solid touring and sales base, and boasts an "elastic" voice that's compared to the likes of Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury and Ben Folds.Some may remember Moon taking the stage with rock legends Slash, Duff McCagen, and Matt Sorum at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008, when Scott Weiland, the lead singer of the band Velvet Revolver, missed his flight from Miami.
