Cato Biography

At the tail end of 2011, Cato released his highly successful project HiPOP, a Hip-Hop/Rap/POP project, which was exclusively featured on Datpiff and ThatCrack Mixtape sites. HiPOP also had four additional bonus tracks released in the Spring of 2012, one of which has garnered over 500,000 cumilative plays on YouTube. Cato has had an eight week run with his weekly #StayFly video release titled #StayFly Saturdays. Cato is BACK, with his latest project After Hours.

Over the course of 2012, Cato toured portions of the country and found his way to34 different stages in 12 different cities and seven different states. He shared the stage with such phenomenal acts and looks to push music and performing to that same level and beyond.

These acts include opening for Mike Stud and touring 7 dates nationally with Huey Mack. In addition, 8 dates with Chicago’s own Na Palm, a CO HEADLINING SOLD OUT Vans Warped Tour “Going Away” show with Mod Son, hitting 3 Festivals in the Minnesota Market, packing the legendary First Avenue with Sammy Adams, CO Headlining the University of Minnesota Duluth Homecoming show, and opening for a SOLD OUT TimeFlies show @ UMD in October of 2012.

2013 has started out with a bang for Cato & CFans touring with Jake Miller on 4 National dates, that included a SOLD OUT show @ Lincoln Hall in Chicago and lastly getting added to the 2500+ TimeFlies show at Myth in St. Paul Minnesota on behalf of AEG as the only EMCEE + DJ duo on the show.

The new project, After Hours, is a mixture of his Pop & Electronic/Dub beats, melodic hook style, and the lyrical prowess that we have grown accustomed to expecting from Cato. This allows Cato to successfully transition and perform both Hip-Hop/Rap & as well as the more uptempo POP/EDM music making Cato extremely versatile for any show.  After Hours has successfully blended many genres of music into one ridiculous fusion of crowd jumping, stage diving, energetic showmanship all into one 10 track release.

Hosted by none other than DJ E-V, Mike Posner’s Touring DJ & MGK’s Mixtape DJ, you are sure to put this record on and listen to it on repeat.
