Peta Murgatroyd, the Two-time Mirror Ball Champion, first appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2011 and over the past six years has cemented herself as a fan favorite on the show, starring in over 110 episodes.
New Zealand born and raised in Australia, Peta has been dancing since the age of 4. Winner of national and international dance competitions, she excelled in Ballet, Contemporary, ballroom and Latin dancing.
In 2004 Peta joined the cast of Burn The Floor, touring globally and became the lead female dancer when it hit Broadway in 2009.
Dancing With The Stars success followed hot on the heels of Broadway and she won her first Mirror Ball in 2012 with NFL legend Donald Driver and her second in 2016 with actor and model Nyle DiMarco.
It was through dance that Peta met the love of her life and now husband Maks Chmerkovskiy and in January 2017 they had their first child together, a son named Shai.
Peta has proven to be a leading voice on balancing family and career. Following her first business venture, a tanning line dubbed Peta Jane Perfection, Peta recently launched her glamour to glitz blog, All Things Fam & Glam, sharing savvy tips from the ballroom, to motherhood and the altar.

He left the series after the win but has returned to act as a guest judge and from season 23, much to the fans delight, returned to the dance floor. Known for being passionate, opinionated and vocal, he is regarded as one of the most successful, loved and well-known cast members from DWTS.
Maksim is originally from Ukraine and immigrated with his family to Brooklyn in 1994. He is Co-Founder of Dance With Me dance studios with eight high end social dance clubs nation-wide dedicated to first-rate dance instruction. Maks is married to Dancing with the Stars pro, Peta Murgatroyd and in January 2017 they had their first child, a son, Shai.
Valentin “Val” Chmerkovskiy was born in Odessa, Ukraine to an engineer mother and marine merchant father. At 8 years old, Val’s family emigrated to Brooklyn, NY. It was in a small Eastern European community in South Brooklyn where Val first picked up ballroom dancing as an after school activity. Soon after, Val found another passion, playing the violin.
In 2011 Val joined his brother Maks as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars for its 13th season. The 14-time US National Champion and two-time World Dance Champion quickly rose to stardom, becoming a fan-favorite for his impeccable performances. Val won his first Dancing with the Stars Mirrorball Trophy with partner Rumer Willis during the ten year anniversary season of the show. He later took home his second title in 2016 partnered with Olympic Gold Medalist Laurie Hernandez. Most recently, Val was partnered with Paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen, making it to the semi-finals.
Val is the first and only American to ever win the IDSF Junior and Youth World Championship, along with the prestigious British “Blackpool” Open, the German Open and the Asian Championships in Shenzhen, China. Co founder and Art Director of Dance With Me, one of the nation’s leading social dance studios, Val implemented the Dance With Me Juniors program with the mission of keeping kids active, healthy, and creative.
Val recently finished writing first memoir titled “I’ll Never Change my Name,” set to be released in March 2018.
