After being friends for a short period of time, Eric Bowley and Andrew de Torres got together in January of 2005 to write a song, which later became Beauty in the Breakdown. They realized its potential immediately and headed to the studio to record the single. With catchy guitar riffs and dueling vocals, it became an instant success among the online communities of Myspace and Purevolume. Over the course of the next year, the boys continued writing. In the winter of 2005-2006, they had enough material to record their full length record. They teamed up with producers Tom Pfaeffle and Brandon Metcalf for the job. Throughout the year, the band has played shows all over the country, with independent promoters flying them nationwide to play. Now, nearing 2 million plays on myspace, the band has more touring plans in support of their new record, "Building Homes From What We've Known." There are high expectations set by these two.
