C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay Judges On What They're Looking For - C2E2 2016

You've got your large stack of comics you want signed, setting up backup cosplay in case things go horribly wrong, and stocking up on water and snacks to keep yourself fueled for this weekend's C2E2. With so much going on during this three-day convention, you might forget about the amazing events taking place. We searched through the vast schedule for 10 events that should be at the top of your list next to getting photos with your favorite stars. Tickets for C2E2 are still on sale here. C2E2 takes place at the South Building at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.

Nerd Nite Speed Dating
When: The entire convention
Where: S501BC (various sessions)

If you're looking for someone that likes Star Wars or Attack on Titan as much as you, Nerd Nite Speed Dating is just for you. Each session will include 15 three minute dates, so you're chances of walking away with a potential new love won't be that difficult. Certain sessions are already sold out, but you can find the remaining ones here. Limited walk-in will be available.

TOKYOPOP and Disney Manga at C2E2

Tokoypop shows off their upcoming Disney Manga lineup for 2017. Some of the upcoming titles set to arrive in stores include Beauty and the Beast and Descendants.

We Are Cosplay Presents: Cosplay Photography

Where: Cosplay Central from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

The folks behind We Are Cosplay give pointers on how to make your cosplay photos stand out during photoshoots.

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Voice Acting
When: Friday, April 21
Where: Main Stage - S406 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

If you're trying to get your foot in the door with voice acting, some A-list stars will join forces to give you tips into maneuvering in the industry. The panel will include Troy Baker, Steve Blum, Jim Cummings, Dave Fennoy, Jennifer Hale, David Hayter, Richard Horvitz, and Veronica Taylor. Even if you're not into the actual voice acting industry, this is still a panel not to be missed.

Cracked: Bad Movies that Deserve a Great Remake
When: Saturday, April 22

Have you ever seen a terrible film that would've done better with an entirely different cast and crew? The folks at Cracked will discuss which horrible film should get a do over from Hollywood.

C2E2 Charity Art Auction
When: Saturday, April 22
Where: S402 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Over 90 artists join forces to help raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. You can bid on some original artwork and help save a kid's life. Some of the artists included in this special auction are Frank Miller, Bob Camp, and Christopher Jones.

C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay
When: Saturday, April 22
Where: Main Stage - S406 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

ReedPOP concludes their Global Championships of Cosplay competition circuit with the C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay, which will display some of the best cosplayers from around the world, including Cin Von Quinzel, Hiro Creations, and Egg Sisters Cosplay. Judging this year's competiton are WETA Workshop’s Design Studio's Adam Middleton, special effects artist Christian Beckman, and cosplayers Holly Conrad and Ivy Doomkitty. The grand prize winner walks away with $5,000. There will also be a local cosplay contest prior to the global competition.

Intro to Podcasting (How to get your show off the ground)

Over the years, podcasting has become a great platform to discuss various issues, but some people still have trouble with getting started. The folks behind the DVM Production Empire will give the audience some advice on how to become the next big podcast star.

Go Go Power Rangers with David Yost and Walter Jones

With the recent release of the Power Rangers movie, the interest in the beloved franchise has been massive. David Yost and Walter Jones from the original Power Rangers series will talk about the movie and go into reminisce on their time on set.

Gaming with the Stranger Things' Kids

Where: C2E2 Live Stage - Booth 1739 from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Stranger Things' stars Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard face each other in some old school video game action at the C2E2 Live Stage. Season two of the hit Netflix show is set to be released on Halloween this year.
