YouTube sensation Todrick Hall at the Gothic Theatre

YouTube celebrities are really making the rounds of the big national tours right now. Coming up on September 20 at the Gothic Theater is “Twerk Du Soleil” a huge tour featuring YouTube sensation Todrick Hall. Hall first burst on to the YouTube scene in 2008, as a vocalist performing his favorite numbers for a growing fan base. Since then, he’s created some insane YouTube videos that have gone viral, showing off his creativity, impressive voice and flare for the camera.

Some of Hall’s most popular videos include a Target Flash Mob to Beyonce’s “End of Time” that really showcases Hall’s dance skills. His Target Flash Mob video has amassed more than 11.4 million views on YouTube already. There are also his other videos like his “Wizard of Ahhhs” with more than eight million views and “Spell Block Tango” with over four million views. In fact, you really can’t browse Facebook today without coming across one of Hall’s impressive videos.

What makes his videos so fantastic is his attention to the details in all of his famous recreations. Whether recreating Disney princesses, Wizard of Oz characters, or the characters from “Chicago the Musical” Hall and his team of singers/dancers/performers know how to create a mesmerizing video that just begs you to keep on clicking to see what else he has created.

“Twerk du Soleil” will be at the Gothic Theater on September 20 at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $25 and you can get $80 VIP tickets for a private meet and greet with Todrick on stage following the show. Hall promises the show will include lots of his zany characters singing, laughing and twerking on stage as well as appearances from many of his popular YouTube video sensations. The show is approximately one hour and should be family-friendly. You can also pick up a $20 poster following the show and you just may have a chance to catch up with Todrick and his performers for a quick autograph.
